Vietnamese refugees
Sir,-—One of my sons fought in Vietnam, and came home with such a profound affection and esteem for the Vietnamese that he selected Far Eastern affairs as his major study at the university. He found the Vietnamese intelligent, cooperative, and courageous in the face of anguish. We now have the good fortune of having several hundred of these people in our midst. I hope New Zealanders will offer them the respect and friendship they deserve and need.—Yours, etc., S. WESTERMANN. November 4, 1977.
