P.M. impressed
Parliamentary reporter The Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) has seen the New Zealand film “Sleeping Dogs,” and admits to being very impressed by it. Asked what had impressed him particularly, he said: “I was impressed when told that its production cost was about onethird that of the ‘Governor Grey’ series produced by TVI.” He also said the film had
a lot of violence in it — “But they all do these days, don’t they? I don’t see many films.” Mr Muldoon said he watched “Sleeping Dogs” at a private screening. The film people had offered him that privilege “and I was very grateful. I do like to see New Zealand films when I can.” He had taken no political implication whatsoever out of the film.
