They threw consistently to beat George Friend and Frank Metjcalfe (Victoria), 3-0, in the final. I The leading New Zealanders, John Wilkie and Graham de Gamhan, progressed as far as the quarter-finals before losing Ito Frank Palco and John (Stewart (A.C.T.) ; Sixty-four players from Au* [tralia and New Zealand are competing in the championships.
