WEATHER CAUSED DELAYS
A team varying from 80 to 120 builders and labourers has been on the site since construction began, but it has still been a lastminute rush to complete the building by the opening date. A winter of particularly heavy rain has held up construction and lost many more working hours than had been allowed for.
The weather caused delays to several steps in the construction of the building, particularly the tar sealing of the car parking area which was still a mass of slush and puddles a week before the opening date.
