Govt probe into noise
Noise pollution in Christchurch will be investigated by the Commission for the environment. In response to approaches from the Christchurch-based group, the New’ Zealand Clean Air Society, the Minister for the Environment (Mr V. S. Young) has asked the commission to give prioritv to an investigation into noise nuisances in cities. , Areas where the Clean Air Societv is concerned about noise 'include Opawa Road,
