Heathcote polluted
Two instances of pollution of the Heathcote River, traced to the Christchurch Gas Company’s works, have been referred to the solicitors for the Christchurch Drainage Board.
The problem of pollution from the Gas Company’s works has been a recurrent one and the Drainage Board has sought a meeting with the company about it. The last two instances referred to the board’s solicitors for action occurred on July 26 and July 30.
