The director of the department’s Clinical Services Division (Dr D. Andrews) said yesterday that recommendations had since been made to the Minister of Health (Mr Gill). The general medical service benefit at present subsidises an adult visit to the doctor by $1.25 and a child’s visit by $3. A higher subsidy is available to beneficiaries.
