B.B.C. to work with N.Z. crew

Television One plans to work with the 8.8. C. this month to produce New Zealand segments for a programme called “Tomorrow’s World.” The idea is to make films about this country, its scenery, development, and inventions, for inclusion in the “Science in Industry” programme.

The 8.8. C. has expressed interest, for example, in inventions such as the prototype electric car developed by Canterbury University for city use, and in this country’s many farming inventions. A producer and reporter from Britain will work with a TVI crew, which will be a valuable training experience.

The channel hopes that in future a reciprocal visit can be made by TVI staff to Britain, both for experience and to produce material for screening in New Zealand.
