350,000 visit Twizel
More than 350,000 people have passed through the Ministry of Works and Development Information Centre at Twizel. It took three years, from 1972 to 1975. for 150,000 people to pass through the centre, but only another four months — to April, 1976 — for a further 100,000. On average, 169 have passed through the centre each dav.
