Fibreglass units
Showing for the first time in Christchurch are two units from the Richwill range now coming on to the market in Auckland. This company is producing unitised bathrooms ,i from fibre glass in a range of soft pastel shades. The original products consisted of a selection of five styles of shower cabinets — four of which are in one-piece moulded construction and the fifth in a two-piece form designed to fit into awkward places. Known as the Showerline range, these cabinets are attractively designed and made to the highest standards. They can be easily cleaned requiring only to be washed with soap or a mild detergent. Size ranges vary
from 2ft 6in by 3ft, to 3ft by 3ft 6in. Installation is quick and easy. Only light framing is required to stabilise the front panels, where shower doors are attached, generally with self-tapping screws. The colours available are pink, primrose, blue, green and white to harmonise with colours popular in bathroom furniture. Once the shower cabinets were established, Richwill turned its attention to other aspects of the utilised bathroom. Only the first two units — shower cabinet and bath — were available for inclusion in the “Bathrooms Beautiful” display at the Building Centre, but they serve as a pointer to future trends in the bathroom field.
