Special wallboard
The home usually is the family’s biggest investment and it deserves the best that is available, particularly when that best costs no little more. While thinking about homes, one should not overlook something that in the past has somewhat ambiguously been called the service areas — throtfms, laundries and kitchens — bathrooms in particular, because that what is what the Building Centre exhibition is all about. Many years of experience in the wallboard field have ensured New Zealand Forest Products, Limited, of a leading position in the production of specially prepared boards suited to bathrooms and other areas subject to ex’ cessive moisture. Seratone, the rmoothglass wall pannelling, is not new but has stood the test of many years of wear. It makes one wonder how something can be so attractive and yet so practical.
Long after other walls need repainting or redecorating, Seratone still looks like new — and it will keep looking like new, a wipe down is all that is needed to get rid of dirt, smears, smudges and the
best efforts of sticky little fingers. In a lovely range of soft pastel shades, plus Classic White, it is an asset to any bathroom or shower. The new “Natural Origin” series is known as “Rio-Tone” and, while of a slightly different construction to Seratone, its functions and capabilities are similar. In patterns created by nature, such as Andalusia Marble and Green Onyx, it will do wonderful things for the bathroom, or become an area where its qualities of glossy surface and easy cleaning are particularly valuable Also available in this range is the soft neutral colour of Faun and two textured wood grain boards — Highland Walnut and Burnt Teak. These are particularly designed for the lounge, dining room or feature walls in the home. One of the particularly appealing features of all of these boards is their suitability for use by the home handyman. The company issues a special
series of leaflets under the title of “Show Me How,” and these handy booklets do just that. Ask for them at the Building Centre or from any accredited distributor of Pinex wallboards.
