Trampers missing
A search may be mounted this morning for two young Christchurch trampers missing in the hills behind Oxford. The men, aged 16 and 21, were reported missing about 7.20 p.m. yesterday after they had become separated from their tramping club party earlier in the day.
Their names have not yet been released. The pair are believed to be experienced trampers. Weather in the Mount Oxford area last night was cold and rainy, and snow to a level of 800 metres was forecast.
