Fijian knight N.Z.-born
PA Wellington One of two new- knights in the Fiji Queen’s Birthday Honours List is Sir Robert Lindsay Munro, a younger brother of the late Sir Leslie Munro.
Sir Robert, a lawyer by profession, has been president of the Senate of the Fijian Parliament since the Senate was constituted in 1970.
He was educated at Remuera Primary School. Auckland Grammar School, and Auckland University, but has been a resident of Fiji since 1934. He captained the New Zealand hockey team in 1932. and while at university won his Blue for rifle shooting.
