High award for Governor
PA Wellington The gold badge of the Returned Services Association — its highest award — has been presented to the Gover-nor-General (Sir Denis Blundell). The badge signifies that its recipient has been awarded honorary life membership of the R.S.A. for important services to it or to the Commonwealth.
There are only seven other living gold badge holders. They include Lord Mountbatten and the Duke of Edinburgh. The presentation will be made by the R.S.A’s Dominion President Mr W. D. Leuchars, in a ceremony at the R.S.A. headquarters in Wellington.
