• Dazed and Confused. Led Zeppelin has had to abandon its American tour after the death of Robert Plant's five-year-old son from a mystery infection. Plant rushed back to Kidderminster, England, to be with his wife, Maureen, when he heard that their son, Karac, was ill. The tour, the first since Plant was in a car accident on the Greek island of Rhodes in August, 1975, was postponed when Plant caught a throat infection. Drummer John Bonham and three roadies also face assualt charges arising out of a fight after the band played at San Francisco. The group still had 10 concerts to play in the U.S. • History. Dan Peek has left America to go solo. Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell will continue as a duo backed by a quartet, but will later choose a replacement, when their present tour ends.
