Steeleye Span tour off
The Steeleye Span tour planned for late August has been cancelled.
The reason for the cancellation is that the two new members of the group, Martin Carthy, a former Span member, and John Kirkpatrick, are taking time to settle into the group’s routines, and the group is not confident enough to tour. This is a little surprising considering that Carthy is a former member of the group, and melodeon and concertina player Kirkpatrick is no sluggard either. It looks like it could be the season for cancellations. First Quartro, then Melanie, and now Steeleye Span.
