Memorial to trainer
i PA Auckland ' An Auckland businessman, Mr D. Jaggar-Smith and Mrs JaggarSmith have presented to the Auckland District Committee a mounted gold-plated statue to commemorate the late Takanini trainer, Mr I. J. Tucker. Mr and Mrs Jaggar-Smith were patrons and friends of Mr Tucker for more than 20 years. They presented the trophy for annual competition among apprentice jockeys, in whose training the late Mr Tucker took such a great interest. The trophy will be competed for in a race to be selected by the Auckland district committee. The winner will hold the trophy for a year and will receive a permanent miniature, ,
