Men in court handcuffed
PA Hamilton Two men appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Hamilton yesterday handcuffed and surrounded by policemen. Wayne Ernest Patrick was charged with rape, armed robbery, and wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. The first two offences were alleged to have occurred at Ngatea and the others at Rangiriri. Kenneth Frederick Kiro was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and armed robbery. Both charges arise from an incident at Rangiriri on July 3. Mr T. B. Mooney, S.M., remanded them in custody to Julv 12.
