Stand not ready yet
The new No. 2 stand at [Lancaster Park will not be [completed in time for the I rugby match between the Lions and New Zealand UniIversities next Tuesday, but -holders of 15-year tickets have no cause for alarm. Members of the Victory Park Board were informed at their meeting this week that provision would be made in the stand for sufficient covered seats to accommodate all the holders. It was also reported that the police would give their full support to attempts made to prevent liquor being taken into the park for the three Lions matches.
