PA Wellington Royal assent was given the Waitemata City Council Farm Hand Act when Parliament sat at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. The Transport Amendment Bill and ■ the Territorial Sea and Exclusive Zone Bill were given an appropriation of public money.
standing Orders were suspended to pass the Transport Amendment Bill through all its stages when the Government won a division, 43-28. The House was still debating the bill at midnight, and by 1 a.m. today had still not finished discussing the final clause.
