Memories
A Glentunnel woman wrote to the travel editor, not with hints on what to do in Fiji, but to share her memories of a mischievous childhood spent at Laucaia Bay. Amongst “Wahine’s” most vivid recollections are the many times she and her sister would skip school, spending time at the beach, the wharf, or the market place instead. She also remembers the time her oldest brother nearly burnt out an Indian community when he lit a fire at the bottom of the garden.
