LOAN 1977 — $84,000 NOTICE is hereby given that at an Ordinary Meeting of the Christchurch City Council, held on Monday, the 23rd dav of May, 1977, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order- at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council, to be held on Monday, the 20th dav of June, 1977, at 7.30 p.nt., in the City Council Chambers, 194 Manchester Street: THAT IN PURSUANCE and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956. and all amendments thereto, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves to raise in New Zealand a loan to be known as the Elderly’ Persons’ Housing (Forfar Street) Loan 1977 — $84,000 for the purpose of erecting 24 relocatable units, subject to the following determinations: (1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 30 years; (2) The rate of interest that may’ be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 3.5 per cent per annum; (3) The said loan or anv part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in clause (1) hereof; (4) The payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken*if not less- than fifteen per cent (15%) of the ratepayers of the City of Christchurch whose names are inscribed on the Ratepayers’ Roll of- the District so demand in writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the Christchurch City Council and received at the offices of the Christchurch City Council, 194 Manchester • Street.
