Te Papa loses
NZPA-Reuter Manila Gloria Dailan scattered four hits as Caloocan City beat the erratic Te Papa (New Zealand) team 5-0, and dealt the Te Papa girls their first loss in the women’s division of the national open softball championship in the Southern Philippines. The defeat was an expensive loss for the Auckland softball players, who earlier rolled back Negros Occidental, 121. They now have to win the rest of their games to stay in contention for the title.
