Removal of child
Sir, — Concerning the officers of the Social Welfare Department, Miss King and Miss Cunningham, who were involved in an incident with a foster child (“The Press,” May 10). We have been foster parents for 10 years and have had dealings with both these social workers. We feel the accusations made against these women were most unjust. Social workers are used as a football for everyone. If they protect a child they are accused of being unfair to foster parents. But if they were to overlook a complaint, they would be accused of neglecting a child. Just what will satisfy some people? We have the utmost
regard for the social workers. Let us give them a fair go. — Yours, etc., HAPPY FOSTER PARENTS. May 23, 1977.
