Racing and trotting Henton Oak likely at Paeroa today

Special correspondent Auckland Henton Oak, in anytiling like Rapa last Saturday. should win the Masters Handicap, find leg of the T.A.B. double at Paeroa Front-running tactics were the means of Henton Oak’s victory ove- Royal Mallard and company by a wide margin in the Nathan Handicap at Te Rapa. The weight difference should bring them closer. Big Gamble is not at his best on heavy footing. But he has shown himself to be such a good, game galloper that his chances cannot be ignored. Bashful Girl might be the best] of the others. She was an improver’s fifth behind Golden Fox] at Ellerslie on May 7. Spanish Wave looks a good! prospect in the second leg, the Paeroa Handicap. Two starts back Spanish Wave: won over 1200 m at Avcndale and , she ran third over 1600 at Ellerslie on May 7. She has been freshened meantime. Firebine and Melody Heights ■ are due support even though } neither has raced recently. Both} have distinguished themselves; in good company. Top Beach should be the better for her latest racing and Stevie Wonder is another making a fresh start which has the ability to make his presence felt.
