New fish and game body
The New Zealand Deerstalkers’ Association and the New Zealand Acclimatisation Societies will join to establish a Fish and Game Commission. The commission will be responsible for administering fish and game sport within New Zealand. The Government has agreed to set up the commission and has assured the Deerstalkers’ Association that it will consider any proposal supported by wildlife sportsmen that promises to provide a more effective form of administering fish and game sport. The commission will be governed by an Act of Parliament, composed of sports i administrators, and financed ! by sportsmen’s fees.
