Canterbury holds bowls trophy

Canterbury convincingly beat Otago, 32j-15L in its second defence of the A. S. Paterson indoor bowls trophy at Kearney’s Road hall on Saturday.

Of the Canterbury team, Gary Barnes was the only skip to lose his first-round pairs. He was beaten by Harley Webster, 4-8, but he later beat Webster in the singles.
