Easy table tennis win
As expected, the -Canterbury table tennis team had little difficulty in winning the Barrow Shield against South Canterbury in Timaru at the week-end. It has been over 25 years since South Canterbury held the shield and altogether it won only four games, two in the women s section and one in each of the men’s and girls’ sections. The men/ No. 1 team won 11-l, the women 10-2, the girls 11-1, and the boys’ team had a clean sweep. 12-0. as did the No. 2 men’s team. The mixed doubles resulted in a 4-0 win to Canterbury.
