Tourist roads ‘ample’
Wellington reporter
New Zealand is now amply supplied with tourist roads, according to the Nature Conservation Council, and it is unlikely that any new major links would open up scenery different from what is already available. The council thinks that roading extensions for farming purposes might be acceptable, but would not necessarily be so. The implications of each case needed to be studied critically, it said.
