Second organist for Cathedral
! Mr Lennox Willett has been appointed assistant organist at the Christchurch Cathedral. He has acted several times as organist and choirmaster at the Cathedral during the absence of the Cathedral organist. Mr Willett is headmaster l at St Mark’s School, Opawa, and for the last three years i has been director of music at the Christchurch Primary Schools Music Festival, an : event usually involving ! about 5000 children. was appointed organist and choirmaster at St Heliers Bay Presbyterian Church, Auckland. In 1964 he was made organist and choirmaster at the Epsom Methodist Church, and from 1965 to 1968 filled the same position at Knox Presbyterian Church, Dunedin. From 1968 to 1969 he was director of the Dunedin School of Instrumental Music, district advisor to the Education Department, and founded and directed the Dunedin Boys’ Choir. While he was in Dunedin he tuned and maintained the three manual organs in Knox Church.
