Park has Lions baffled
PA Brisbane The leading Brisbane soccer team, Lions, is seeking urgent talks with New Zealand World Cup soccer vice-captain, lan Park, to iron out an apparent misunderstanding on whether he has signed a two-year contract to play with the club, Park yesterday denied reports that he had signed with Lions, and said he was upset by claims that he was intending to play outside New Zealand. However the Lions president, Mr John Morcus, said he was under the impression that Park had signed the contract, and arrangements were being made for his move to Queensland. “His latest com-* ments have completely baffled us,” Mr Morcus said.
