Scout Day on March 26
Scouts throughout New Zealand will celebrate National Scout Day on March 26.
Scouts in the Canterbury area will give first-aid demonstrations. set up scout camps round Christchurch, give tent and uniform displays. and demonstrate scouting activities.
“The keynote of the exercise is to get the public to participate,” said the chief executive commissioner of the Scout Association (Mr D. J. Cotton). “We are aware ■that a large percentage of I the population has little idea : of what scouting has to offer and we hope that the ■National Scout Day will help to educate and enthuse I them.
