Pay margin for nurses
The Government has agreed to meet the pay margin sought by psychiatric nurses at the new psychiatric unit at Princess Margaret Hospital. The psychiatric nurses at Sunnyside. Hospital threatened industrial action late last year when the Health Department said that psy-
chiatric nurses' pay margins over general nurses’ did not apply at the Princess Margaret unit.
The North Canterbury Hospital Board yesterday heard that the pay margin would be met by a supplementary grant.
