K. MORTON KICKED
Special correspondent
Kevin Morton had two stitches inserted in his upper leg as the result of being kicked by Arrowvn when unsaddling from fourth place-getter, Top Secret, in the White Robe Lodge Stakes at Wingatui on Saturday. Morten was taken to Dunedin Hospital for an X-ray and observation after the incident, which occurred when Arrowvn got a hind teg over a railing separating the weigh-in positions. Morton expects to be fit for riding on the second day of the Otago meeting next Saturday. The appropriate rule was invoked to allow Top Secret to retain her placing without Morton weighing in.
