' No nuclear ship visit’
I PA Wellington Government and United States Embassy sources have deni e d a claim that another U.S. Navy nuclear warship would visit New Zealand soon. The claim came from the Campaign Against Nuclear Warships, which said that I Lyttelton might be visited
by such a vessel before the end of February. “At the present time, no U.S. Navy nuclear-powered warship visits are scheduled for New Zealand,” an embassy spokesman said.
A Government source said that no nuclear-pow-ered ships were due at Lyttelton or elsewhere in New Zealand.
