After only two weeks as a surf > life-saver, Mark Sullivan (North , Beach) has been selected for the . Canterbury team. He joins his club-mate, David Clarke, as the ■ required two juniors for the ; national inter-district champion- | ship at Gisborne on March 3. Although it lost its provincial ! six-man rescue and resuscitation J title to Taylor’s Mistake yester--jday, South Brighton still provides four of its team to the | provincial side. | The only surprises in the team ’| are the choice of beach 'isprinteis. The omissions of Paul ' Curr (South Brighton) and Murray Jago (Waimairi) raised a few eyebrows and these two, the best in Canterbury, went out and showed a thing or two« by filling the first two places in! the Canterbury championship at; Waimairi yesterday.
