No mention of dividend
In spite of nearly doubling its profits in the six months to September 30, the directors of Allied Group, Ltd. Auckland finance, motor and property group, make no mention of an interim dividend in a preliminary report.
The profit rose from about $59,700 to $111,683. j No dividends have been (paid by the group since an I interim dividend of 3c a share 1(3 per cent) was declared on I the half-yearly result in 1974. The profit is after providling $18,937 more for tax at I $58,737, and after providing for minority interests. Howj ever, it does include the pro'fit of Kauri Securities. Ltd, a land development company acquired on April 1. The directors say that, present indications are that profit for the full year will iat least equal the profit of 'the previous corresponding period.
