Danger and rescue
The setting for TVl's “Disneyland” programme on Sunday is the rugged, mountainous country of north-western America, and the story “Adventure in Satan’s Canyon,” centres on a young outdoorsman named Rob. He fails to win his class of a kayak competition and, disappointed, he informs his coach, Jack Hughes, that his career as a champion kayak racer is ended. However, a while later, when Hughes enters the treacherous Satan’s Canyon surrounded by the wonders of nature. Rob accompanies him. When a falling tree endangers both their lives and severely injures Hughes, any hope of rescue seems extremely remote.
