Goodfellow beaten
Gary Goodfellow (Dunedin > has unexpectedly decided to concentrate on the 125 class in the New Zealand Golden Breed moto-cross chain* pionships this season. Riding a CRI2S Honda, he should do well. But in the Zone 1 qualifying rounds, he was narrowly beaten by R. Wright (Queenstown). Goodfellow defeated Wright in the final round at Stavely recently but this was only good enough to ensure him of second place in the qualifying series. Wright scored 109, Goodfellow 107 and Dave Garden (Queenstown), who shared third place in the national final with Blair Carpenter, (Christchurch) last season, scored 100.
