India pushed in tennis
NZPA New Delhi India defeated Japan, 3-2, yesterday in the Eastern Zone Davis Cup tennis quar-ter-finals, the Associated Press reported. Anand Amritraj clinched the series for India when he defeated Jun Kamiwazumi in the last match, the second reverse singles 8-6, 6-1, 6-4. India now meets Australia in the semi-finals.
