‘Poor seating’
PA Auckland After a three-day hearing in the Supreme Court at Auckland, a foreman on behalf of his juror colleagues, felt he had to complain ibout the seating. When the foreman had delivered the jury’s verdict,;
he asked the presiding judge, Mr Justice Chilwell, for permission to speak. i It is reported that he told ithe Court that the seating was poor, particularly after jurors had attended a threeday hearing, and asked his Honour for something to be done. ] His Honour said he would (mention the subject to ‘‘the appropriate people.” | It is believed that MinisI try of Works staff subI jequently investigated the 'seating.
