Fewer British immigrants
A total of 3622 permanent and long-term immigrants from Britain arrived in New Zealand in the first nine months of this year, compared with 8338 in the same period in 1975, according to figures released yesterday by the Minister of Immigration (Mr Gill). Replying to a written Parliamentary question by Mr F. M. Colman (Labour, Peaccording to Department of tone) Mr Gill said that Statistics figures, 1670 people arrived from Britain in the first three months of the year, as against 4040 in the first quarter of 1975.
