PA Wellington The field for the 1976 New Zealand amateur golf cham- | pionship at Ngamotu, New | Plymouth, next week is not I only the largest-ever, but .also one of the best. The total entry of 159 was a record — even though it ,was restricted to golfers of .five handicaps or less—and I it had to be cut to the maximum 120.
i All five handicappers were eliminated, and 26 four- . handicappers missed out on i the ballot.
