The North Canterbury cricket team to play Marist in the first round of the A.N.Z. Bank knock-out tournament at Rangiora on Sunday is:— R. C. Merrin (captain), P. E. Williams (vice-captain), C. Heslop, A. Jenkins, M. Johnston, R Kerr, S, McNally, J. Masefield, R. Sowden, C. Thiele, 1. Turner.
Squash.—The first, open squash tournament in New Zealand is to be staged by the North Shore Club at the week-end. The event will carry $530 in casli or equivalent prizes, ■with to pprizes of $lOO (men), and $6O <women)
