World Cup rumour discounted
NZPA-Reuter Rio de Janeiro Joao Havelange, president of the Internationa] Federation of Association Football (FIFA), has once again quashed rumours that the 1978 World Cup venue may be switched from Argentina. Arriving in Rio from a 35day tour of eight countries on FIFA business, Mr Havelange also said the federation had no knowledge of an alleged decision on the part of the Netherlands not to play in the World Cup finals if they are held in Argentina.
