Curbs soon on discount
PA Wellington The Government will introduce new regulations soon to stop illegal discounts on tickets for overseas travel bought in New Zealand. The Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) said that he had read a report that some overseas-based airlines, trying to attract business, were reimbursing agents for the 10 per cent travel tax added to travellers’ fares from New Zealand. The tax was included in this year’s Budget.
