The secretary of the Canterbury Drivers’ Union (Mr (Peter Liggett) said last evenling that he was pleased that the wage freeze impasse had (finally been broken, but he 'was not satisfied with the (projected 3 per cent wage i rise.
“There is a possibility of some local opposition to the agreement, but I don't think there will be any more industrial action in the near ; future," he said. I There will be a meeting of ; Christchurch union delegates next week. j
