Restriction off scenic road
The prohibition on trailers between Cascade Creek and Milford Sound has been lifted by the National Roads Bohrd after the sealing of the road between the Homer Tunnel and Milford.
Sealing the road has reduced the need for the restriction, which the Ministry of Transport has found almost impossible to police.
However, caravans will not be permitted past the point on the road where there are no more facilities to park them.
