Good year for Hororata
A profit of S3ll’ is shown In tho accounts to be presented it the annual meeting of the Hororata Trotting Club this evening. The club made a profit of 53561 for the previous 12 months. ( All betting records were broken at the club's annual meeting, says the report of the president (Mr E. R. Mee). On-course betting of $118,090 was up by 55>,800 over the previous year and the crowd of about 5000 fully taxed amenities on tho course. The committee is investigating means of Improving facilities for future meetings. The past year had been a most anxious but rewarding one. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Highet) had announced that the club could continue to race on its own course, said Mr Mee.
