Taal erupts again
NZPA-Reuter Manila Taal volcano erupted with renewed vigour during Sunday night, hurling black and red-brown ash 2200 metres Into the sky. The Philippines Commission of Volcanology said yesterday that the four-day-old eruptions — though still comparatively mild — could continue for some time. Filipinos who have been evacuated from the island set in a lake 100 kilometres south of Manila where Taal is erupting have been warned that *t is still not safe to return to their homes.
